The 6-Day Go Kenya Safari featuring the famous Masai Mara and Samburu offers an immersive and thrilling experience in two of Kenya's most iconic wildlife destinations. This safari is designed to provide travelers with a diverse and comprehensive exploration of Kenya's rich ecosystems, abundant wildlife, and vibrant cultures.
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
- Your journey begins in Nairobi, where you'll be picked up and driven to Samburu National Reserve, located in the arid northern region of Kenya.
- Arrive at your lodge or camp in Samburu, settle in, and enjoy your first taste of the Kenyan wilderness.
Day 2: Explore Samburu National Reserve
- Embark on morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu, known for its unique wildlife, including the 'Samburu Special Five' – Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk.
- Witness the diverse landscapes of Samburu, characterized by acacia trees, the Ewaso Ng'iro River, and open savannah.
Day 3: Samburu to Aberdare National Park
- Depart Samburu and head towards Aberdare National Park, a mountainous and forested area.
- Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Aberdare, renowned for its dense forest and diverse wildlife, including the elusive bongo and black rhinoceros.
Day 4: Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National Park
- Depart Aberdare and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its vibrant pink flamingos and diverse birdlife.
- Explore the park on a game drive and visit the shores of Lake Nakuru, where you may also encounter rhinos, lions, and other wildlife.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
- Leave Lake Nakuru and head to the world-famous Masai Mara, one of Africa's premier wildlife reserves.
- Enjoy afternoon and evening game drives in the Mara, renowned for its large concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five – lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos.
Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara
- Spend the entire day exploring the vast expanses of the Masai Mara, home to the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras.
- Capture breathtaking scenes of the Mara's wildlife and landscapes, and witness the circle of life unfold on the savannah.
